Navigation Training On Patrol The Operations mission of the Coast Guard Auxiliary encompasses on-the-water action as shown in the photos seen above and below as well as in the upper left of the Home Page. Auxiliary crew members and coxwains are trained to navigate afloat as in the above left photo. At the right above is a photo of Auxiliarists on patrol. At lower left is a photo of Auxiliarists engaged in Sling Rescue training. The photo at lower right shows Auxiliarists going through Boat Crew water survival training. Also included in Operations activities are Verifying Private Aids to Navigation and operating Base and Mobile Radio Facilities.
