| Message HandlingThis page is collecting information about message handling. Process flow diagrams. These diagrams show how the message handling process works at the EOC. The primary mission of the ACS is to relay message from point to point. To accomplish that task, we use the ARRL National Traffic System (NTS) processes. A detailed description of the NTS message form is found in Chapter 1 The ARRL Message Format (Adobe Acrobat PDF format, MS Word format) of the National Traffic System Methods and Practices Guidelines on the ARRL website. The ARRL Radiogram form can be download from the ARRL website in two versions. Both are Adobe Acrobat PDF format (two copies on a page): This is an adaptation of the ARRL Radiogram form for the ACS to help operators remember all of the parts of a formal message. Following is a convenient list of the ARRL Numbered Radiograms: These files can be downloaded by alternate-clicking (right-click for right-handed mice) and selecting "Save Target As" or "Save Link As". Some routine messages that come to our nets have standard text. This list of these messages allows for quick passing of traffic by only needing to provide the name of the message and any fill-in-the-blank text that goes with the message. These messages are not associated with the ARRL Numbered Radiograms but may contain them. The Adobe Acrobat PDF files can be read using the Adobe Acrobat Reader available at: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html or click the this icon: |
