Junior Shooting Program.  Tom McIntosh, 246-8009, oversees a junior small bore (.22 cal.) rifle marksmanship training program.  Top quality match rifles, spotting scopes, ammunition, and targets are furnished at no cost to participants.  The program is open to all juniors, male and female, ages 12 years thru 18 years.  The program utilizes our new indoor range that is heated and ventilated.  The range has a classroom, restroom, and small kitchen for use by the participants.  Parents are encouraged to accompany their children.  We meet at the range on Wednesday nights from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM from October 3rd through May 7th.

Indoor Range.  The indoor range is open to the general public on scheduled days or nights.  The indoor range is used by junior smallbore shooters on Wednesday nights, and pistol and smallbore rifle shooters on Thursday nights.  It is open to any organized group of shooters with a plan for a program.  Contact an officer of the club for info.  A $3.00 per shooter is charged for adults.

Practical Pistol (IPSC) & three gun competitions.  The Sportsmen sponsor several large matches during each year starting with a spring three gun match.  These matches attract competitors from several states.  A popular competition is the Three Gun match in the spring.  See the newsletter for dates and details.  Competitions and practice sessions are held monthly.  Contact Carl Carbon for more info or go to the IPSC web site at http://www.uspsa.org/.

High Power Rifle.  The Sportsmen are affiliated with the CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) and sponsor several matches per year.  Contact Bill LeMaster for more info.  Military rifles are available for purchase through the CMP.

College Scholarship.  A college scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student each year.  We encourage children of members to apply.  If you have a child, foster child, or grandchild who is a high school senior and needs a scholarship, advise them to talk to their class counselor about the Ephrata Sportsmen’s Ass’n. scholarship and BE SURE TO ADVISE AN OFFICER OF THE CLUB OF THE APPLICATION WHEN IT IS SUBMITTED.  We would like to see the grant going to a members family so remember us if you are related to a child who will want a scholarship next year.  Contact Tom McIntosh if you have trouble getting an application.
